Call of Duty 1 Highly Compressed is a first-person shooter video game set during World War II events. It was released for the PC on October 29, 2003, by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward.

It is the first installment in the Call of Duty series, but it was widely available in the release of the remastered high-definition game Call of Duty: Classic for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The Quake III: Team Arena gaming engine serves as the foundation for the game. It was followed in September 2004 by an expansion pack called Call of Duty: United Offensive, produced by Activision and developed by Gray Matter Interactive Studios with help from Pi Studios.
